Ferns' artistic practice is characterised by a diverse range of materials and techniques. Through the layering of thick linens, muslins, plaster, and wax, she creates a distinct textural surface. Ferns draws inspiration from her surroundings and past experiences, blending memory and materiality to create a sense of personal history in her pieces.
