Story

We have created a collection of traditional hand-made woven wall hangings. Each piece is unique and takes over 8 weeks for completion. Continuing the work of their ancestors; the wool is first cleaned, then woven into yarn by hand. The yarn is then hand-dyed - during the centuries old dyeing process, the ingredients are left to steep in boiling hot water. As they soak their pigments slowly steep out. Herbs, fruit, bugs and flowers produce every colour for Zapotec weavings. The yarn is then woven into a unique wall hanging using methods passed down from generation to generation
